E and I made these sweet little hearts just the perfect size for some envelopes we had on hand. Now her aunts, who don't see her as often as they'd like to, will get a pint sized hug that let's them know she's missing them.
All we used for this craft was pink & red construction paper, scissors, glue sticks, and markers to decorate.
Cut out hearts to fit your envelopes (or you may have to fold the hearts to send). Cut two strips of paper (roughly the same width and length) and fold back and forth the length of the strip for "arms." Cut two hearts for the "hands," and glue the arms and hands to the heart.
Easy! Now go to town with the markers to decorate as you see fit.
E wrote on each of hers "Sending you a hug on Valentine's Day" and covered the rest of the space with hearts.
So sweet, and an easy, inexpensive way for the littles to surprise loved ones on Valentine's Day.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to enjoy this cozy snow day.
What Valentine's Day crafts are you working on? Do you send cards or crafts to friends and family?
