Obviously, I need to say ... GO SOX! I'm sorry - I try to avoid controversial topics such as sports, politics, sports, religion and sports, but I can't help myself. They are 1-1 & they need to hear it.
The sports teams in this city are such a unifying force and it feels really amazing to have everyone rallying together again. Whether the Sox pull it off or not, they've recreated that intangible something that Boston thrives on. But, they are going to win. :)
I have not chatted very much about the fact that I had braces on for almost 6 months or about getting them off, for that matter. But I did and I have - and I am thrilled. Yes, they were only on my top teeth, and yes, they were clear brackets and kind of looked like a retainer ... but they were still annoying & a little painful & a lot embarrassing to have on my teeth at this age.
I am thrilled to have them off and so happy with the result. As much as I gripe about having them on, they were definitely worth it. To any older-than-high-school-age ladies out there that are considering this leap, email me - let's chat. It is such a short amount of time in your life to deal with a relatively small hassle, and the resulting confidence and happiness is amazing.
This little print popped up on my Pinterest feed this week and it just struck home. It is now printed and taped up my desk as the little reminder I need throughout the day. It is so easy to get caught up in the negative and it just doesn't benefit anyone. Be the one to see the good in the world around you - I guarantee you will change at least one person's day, every day, for the better.
And speaking of prints, I just discovered Lauren over at Pearls and Pastries and I cannot get enough of her designs. They are just so simply whimsical and girly - I've ordered two so far and I don't know that I can stop there.
Lauren also makes these amazing sequin hangers that you will not want to miss. Check out her shop and don't miss her blog where she highlights fun items from other shops.
I'm off to kick some butt in the office so that I can thoroughly enjoy my weekend! Stay tuned for some really, really awesome news next week - you will not want to miss it! xo
